Gene Schwam is co-founder and president of Hanson & Schwam, one of the entertainment industry’s leading public relations, marketing, and branding agencies. He is widely recognized for his unique creative skills and innovative expertise in media management, damage control, strategic planning, and mounting major national campaigns for entertainment and entertainment-related clients, including the St. Louis Rams football franchise and the long-running ice skating musical spectacular, Broadway on Ice, starring Olympic Gold Medal champion Dorothy Hamill

He has been instrumental in creating, developing, and implementing the marketing and promotion campaigns for many of Hollywood’s celebrated acting, performing, and filmmaking icons in addition to serving as architect for numerous noteworthy major publicity, promotion, and advertising campaigns for film studios, television networks, independent production companies, and entertainment industry corporations.

During his illustrious career Mr. Schwam, described by UPI’s chief entertainment correspondent Vernon Scott as “the best idea man in Hollywood,” has been a personal advisor, confidant, and consultant to many of Hollywood’s most popular and recognizable talents, as well as to many of the most influential entertainment industry companies, associations, law firms, and talent agencies. Gene also created the first tandem negotiation of a major league baseball contract when his client, Dodger pitching star Don Drysdale, teamed with Dodger great Sandy Koufax, to win record-breaking deals for both superstars.
